Parental consent

An adult sets Ako up and manages it. By creating an account and letting your child play, you give consent for the limited data practices described here and in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the account.

What we collect about a child

We do NOT collect a child's surname, birth date, home address, phone number, photos, precise location, or any direct contact details.

• A first name and an age or year level — nothing that identifies them personally on its own.
• Their learning activity and progress.
• The text of their tutor conversations (from voice, converted to text) to personalise learning. We don't keep raw audio.

What we never do

• No behavioural or targeted advertising to children. There are no third-party ad networks inside the app.
• No selling or renting of children's data — ever.
• No open chat with strangers. The only “conversation” is with Ako, the AI tutor, within a lesson.
• No pressure tactics, no dark patterns, no data collection beyond what a lesson needs.

The AI tutor

Ako listens so it can help — the child's speech is turned into text in the moment to understand the question and respond. We store that text to adapt future lessons, keep it associated with the child's profile (not sold or shared for advertising), and you can delete it with the account.

Parent controls & rights

At any time you can review what we hold about your child, correct it, delete it, or turn off progress emails. Use our contact form or the in-app settings. We'll verify you're the account holder before acting on a request.
